Fan Giveaway

Welcome to Sandy Wright Photography's Fan Appreciation Giveaway!

After a few days or arguing with myself I have decided to carry on with the giveaway anyhow. Most of you already know at least half of my vendors backed out and never emailed me back when it was time for the giveaway to start. I wanted to reach 2k but I didn't. So, I decided to have the giveaway anyway to show my appreciation to all of the fans that I do have. I hope you all know that I appreciate every single one of you. The support you all have shown me over the past almost 3 years now has been nothing short of amazing. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to the amazing vendors who made this giveaway possible. I hope you all will love their creations as much as I do. I was going to do a winner for 2 people but like I said since half dropped out there will only be one winner. That winner will be selected via random.org on October 16th at 10PM. It will be your sole responsibility to get with the vendors to claim your winnings.

Here are the rules:

1. This giveaway is for fans of Sandy Wright Photography so please like my page first. This is a must. Leave some love also. Always love hearing from my fans. Please be sure to leave your real name as well.

2. Go  to each of the vendor's pages & 'like' them (using your personal page, not a business page).  Comment here that you liked all vendors pages.

3. Leave them some love and let them know that I sent you. After you do that come back and comment again that you completed that step.

4. For additional entries share on your personal page, business page, blog, or all. Leave a comment letting me know you have done so with a link that I can go see to make sure it was done.

5. Become a follower of my blog and comment you did so to receive another entry.

In total you could have at least 7-8 entries. So make sure you use them and make sure you leave them all in separate comments. Each entry will be counted separately.

Legal Stuff: Vendors may not enter. The winner will be announced on this blog. Once the winner is announced, you will have 48 hours to contact the vendors to claim your prize. You MUST be 18 to participate. International players may enter but you may be responsible for the shipping in order to receive your prize. This will be up to the individual vendors. If you are not willing to pay shipping, please do not enter. Prizes do not have cash value. There will be no returns/exchanges on any of the items. This promotion is in NO WAY sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

Emery

I cannot believe this sweet baby girl is a week or so shy of being 9 months old. She was my very first indoor session of a newborn that I messed up on really bad. I have been lucky for her parents to keep bringing her back. When I say I have had the best clients. I really mean that! Seriously, who would have went back to a photographer who messed their newborn photos up? I made it right with them and I do believe that is why they have stuck by me and keep coming back. I love when I get to see them grow like this. I don't know how I am ever going to choose which one's to post here. Lol.

Lily

I've since done more photos of Ms. Little Lily. Other than hospital photos so I'll share a few of those here. I call her my niece. Lol. She may as well be. I've known her family my entire life.

You just take photos, is that it?

Its not easy, and not just anyone can do it. I honestly felt like I was pushed into it. Every woman on this earth likes to take photos of every freaking thing in it! You know it, I know it. But, that's not all it takes. You can love it, but you still gotta work hard to get where you wanna be and make your images look good. Mine aren't perfect by any means or stretch of imagination and I still have tons to learn. I am still learning. I still take courses to help me and read to learn and forever will. Any photographer you ever meet that says "I don't need that stuff" you may as well walk out of their studio or cancel cause they think they are above the rest and they are not. They don't know it all and 50% of the time they might get good photos but the other 50% will be bad.

To be quite honest I have almost quit cold turkey several times and I'll tell you why. There are a few reasons. I get pissed every time I think about them. I am a real person, I have real emotions, real thoughts, and use real curse words. Lol. I get so mad when people just don't show up at all! No show, no call, no nothing. Never hear from them again! Even after I email to see if something is wrong and I never get an email. I facebook stalk so I see you, that's freaking rude people. Number two, when you are late and I have to call you and you don't call me in advance and let me know you are going be late in the first place. I hate to make that call and wait for you. I could have stayed at home with family a little while longer. This happened several times with several people.

Here is the reason it pisses me off. I am not saying everyone did me this way obviously. I have some super duper clients and I love them all. The one's who have stuck by me and been there the whole way and are still there are awesome. But, the one's who have flaked. Missed appointments, don't call, don't show. It makes me mad because I do have a family too.

A little back story. I was told about 6 years ago I couldn't have kids because I have a very rare case of PCOS (Poly cystic ovarian syndrome). This is where cyst usually grow on just your ovaries and with treatment you could have kids. Well mine covered my ovaries and with treatment it was still impossible. Mine wasn't just on my ovaries. My cysts were all over my stomach and my breast so it was impossible so I was told it would never happen for me. I got this news the day of my moms first birthday of her being dead. It was awful. So years pass and I ended up pregnant and found out on my moms birthday years later that I was having a baby boy! Lol. The irony there. So you see, I hold my family dear to me because its was a miracle for me to have my son. He means to world to me. So when people stand me up, they are standing him up too and the time I could be with him. That's not right. And, as most of you know my boyfriend, now fiance is and engineering student at UofL in his last semester and he never has time for us. So we all have to work around one another. So when I take time out for your family I am taking out time I could spend with my own family, so please respect that.

When I do start back at the end of May, beginning of June there will be lots of new changes and rules (if you will). There will be deposits. No exceptions for anyone. They will be paid before I even write you down on my calender and it will go toward your session. Session prices will raise. If you are more than 10 minutes late with no call at all I will leave and won't re-book you even in the future. If you do call I won't make the time up and whatever time is left that is what you have and you still have to pay what you owe, you knew you were coming to get your photos done. Be prepared. I do know things come up, if they do, call me and let me. Please. I am not that hard to get along with and everyone who has had a session with me knows that. I do understand but I will need to know. There are unacceptable things though that I won't allow anymore. The people who have done them, know what they are. I don't have to point them out.

If you know you are coming to a session come prepared please. I don't always have extras of everything with me. I'm a mom of a two year old. I'm usually frazzled out of my mind. If you have a baby, bring wipes. Don't have boogers running down your kids face, don't have dried up snot on your kids face and expect me to fix it later in photoshop, I won't! That's your job to do it beforehand! Make sure their teeth are brushed, their hair is combed, and their clothes have not been laying in the dirty clothes hamper for a month all wrinkled. I won't fix it in photoshop. If you brought your kid or yourself to the session in this manner I will edit the photo as a whole but I will NOT edit all of that out. That is not what I fix and that is not what you pay me for If you want if fixed I will be happy too but it will cost you a lot more.

Spray bottle and comb in case you need to fix your child's hair.
Whatever they like to drink and a non-messy snack for during and after photos.
Baby wipes. For boogers, snot, poop, dirt.
 Paper towels, to wipe sweat.
Props, that you may want to use yourself. Some photographers don't keep props or don't have many.

Thanks for reading. If you like my blog please share and share my page too. Thanks!

Kenzlee

Kenzlee is the daughter of one of my friends. A friend I have known for about 4-5 years. We worked together at a place where we helped people who had brain injuries. So, I was super excited when I found out she was pregnant and even more excited to know I would be doing her photos for her.

The first session did not go well, at all. The baby just wasn't having it. It happens sometimes. This is why I urge parents to do the sessions 14 days and younger. Its easier because they are mostly asleep. I only go 3 photos the first time but I got many more the 2nd go around so here is a few of her.

The Martin Family

I was really excited to do this session for a couple of different reasons. The main thing because they are my friends and I am super excited for them. Having a baby is the biggest blessing you could have in your life. It changes you for the better and you feel a love that you have never felt before. And, its untainted love. The second reason is because in the past month I have learned a ton of new things about my camera and Photoshop. I am a lightroom 3 user. Photoshop scares the crap out of me but I was determined to learn at least the basics and how to use actions. I'm excited at all of the things I have learned and I can't wait to learn even more and be able to put those things to use. Hope you all enjoy looking through these.
